i'm just a bowl full of randomness...

Why must shoe shopping be such a difficult task?! I swear, I must be one of the few women on this planet that detests shoe shopping! Honestly, I could go barefoot or in flipflops and be a happy person. Back in November when I wanted to get red shoes to match a dress I was wearing to a wedding, I went to thirteen different stores! I looked in Macy's, JCPenney's, Famous Footwear, Naturalizer, Baker's, Aldo, Sear's, Target, etc. I eventually found a pair that had a low heel and felt comfortable at DSW. I hate shoes that have HUGE heels. I am bound to trip on my face if I wear those.

I need to buy a pair of black heels to wear to work/school now. I looked at Kohl's and found a reasonable pair but then many people said the "leather" peeled after three months and it wasn't worth the money. So there goes that plan! I have tomorrow off from my restaurant job and I plan on going to get my nails done so after that, I think I'll venture to DSW and Macy's to look. Seriously, I better find a pair.

I also went shopping for more dress pants to wear to school and I swear, either I need to get the fat sucked out of me pronto or date a trainer so he can whip my butt into shape. I usually find them in NY&CO but none of their pants striked me. I may go back in a few weeks to see if there's something else (Or maybe to try on the maroon color that one of my managers had on tonight because they were a nice color and I could pair it with different things). Most of the pants are either too big in the waist (yes, this can be fixed with a belt) or too long. I went to the cleaner's last week to have a pair hemmed...$15! Are you kidding me? I hope they were worth it (need to pick them up). I may have to try another cleaner to get them hemmed and hopefully they aren't all that crazily priced.

I am excited for Thursday....the premiere of the last season of Jersey Shore. I know, it's bad that I watch it but it is hilarious!

It's really sad that I have to write a list of things I need to do/want to do because I will either forget or will never get done! Tomorrow, I really need a manicure and I also really need to clean up my room. Who knows how busy I will be come Thursday but I need to get my life in order, ha ha! I also need to start training my body to go to bed early so the 5am/515am wakeup call is not brutal. Because this e-card totally depicts how I am in the morning:

This past Saturday was kind of scary. I got a text from my married brother saying that they were waiting for a CT scan while I was at work. Cue my clueless wonder because I had no idea what was going on. Apparently, my 7 year old niece was hit by a car when they were crossing the street in our town to go to the movie theater. There's a parking lot in by the movie theater but maybe only 5-10 cars can fit there so you have to park in the empty lot across the street. They were half way across the street and waiting to cross when she jutted out and got hit. My heart sank when I read that and of course I was upset because me and that munchkin have a bond. Thankfully my brother texted me not too long after that the CT scan was normal and she was home. She was really lucky!!

I really should go be productive on one of my few days off this week before I start my job Thursday!

  1. I am 5'4" so my pants are always short, too! Have you tried do-it-yourself iron-on hem tape? Saves so much money!! ❤

  2. I know what you mean, I don't understand how almost any jean will fit me but dress pants usually just look awful! NY & Co. is the only place I buy dress pants from too.

  3. I hate shoe shopping too. I love my boots and flip flops but I hate shopping for them. I usually go to JCP for dress shoes. I can't remember the last time I bought dress pants (uh, it's Alaska, I could wear sweatpants if I wanted). I'd try Ann Taylor Loft if I were you!

  4. Nine West black pumps are all I'll wear. I have the same pair with a low-mid heel from DSW in brown and tan too! They are perfect for school. I usually can find them at TJ Maxx or there is a great shoe store on Hempstead Tpke in East Meadow/ Bethpage I think it is MJM shoes? It's near Moe's.
