major FAILURE on my part...

And in other news, I am completely screwed for the fall. Like majorly. I cannot believe I was this lazy/procrastinating in doing it. Let's see, where do I begin? I am trying to finish up my Special Ed classes (4 classes....2 done in the summer so I just have two left). And my grad school is NOT cheap. It's a private school and my mom does not help so I am on my own (as all of us are for when we went/go to grad school). I'm okay with that and taking out loans.

Usually I have applied for FAFSA (aka loans!) for school for undergrad and grad school. Essentially they give you more for grad school because they assume you are putting yourself through and your parents are not paying for you. Which is fine by me because I'll probably finish paying off my undergrad and grad school loans by the time my first born goes to college, ha ha! Well, I don't know what my problem was this time...either lazy on my part/busy with student teaching/putting it off but I completely forgot to apply for my financial aid! OOPS....major oops aka Kristin is screwed.

I am trying not to freak out because I think I will be okay. I think I just panicked when I read the posting on the FAFSA website and I think I accidentally read the one for the 2010-2011 school year and I need the 2011-2012 school year. It says NY's deadline is by June 30, 2012 so I think I should be okay. I probably won't get as much but hey, if I get nothing, I can go through my bank or the company that my loans are through and try getting one that way.

Why I waited til the last minute (aka also my fall bill is technically due today!) I will never know. What did I learn from this? DO NOT PROCRASTINATE! Well, let's just say I learned my lesson to be more proactive and I will always be a procrastinator but I will DEFINITELY never do this again!

And on a happier note, I get to see this lady in concert tomorrow.

And in 8 days I will be here:

With these three munchkins (and their parents & my mom):

cue the happy music. =)
