This chick here will be on vacation in just TWO WEEKS! Two weeks from today, I will be cruising my way to the Bahamas! I sincerely hope my body regains its non-sickly feeling and I feel better soon. I do not want to spend my tropical vacation sick. Here's to hoping that the Airborne in Strawberry I bought will help.
I have so much to do in a little time! Clean my closet (yeah, I know I have been saying this for what seems like weeks but I have gotten sidetracked or had to do other things), get my car cleaned (it is disgusting and I would much rather pay someone to do it then do it myself), get my nails done (trying to hold out til Fri/Monday so it'll last while I am away). Oh, and one other big thing...PACK! I *think* my shopping is done for the most part...until I get to the cruise.
I also gathered up all my bills to pay before I go away, including my student loan that is due this weekend. Ugh, seriously. The amount of money I spent going to school for undergrad & grad is disgusting. Oh my. Seriously, each day I spend looking for jobs in hopes to be able to start paying MORE than the minimum due that month. Growing up can suck at times.
Here's to hoping I will be able to sleep more/better tonight than last night. I woke up early because Amanda and I were going to the gym. In all, I probably should've skipped it but whatever. I was exhausted. And I really dont want to go to work at 530. It's only 3 and a half hours but still. Boo. Sorry if I whine too much.
The best part of my weekend (well one part) was being able to see my friend Christina from college! I wish I got to spend more time with her and everyone else but I unfortunately could only make lunch on Saturday because I had to work. I miss her!
I also have been listening to Carrie Underwood's new CD "Blown Away" on repeat in my car yesterday and today. Yeah, it doesn't come out til tomorrow but that's the beauty/magic of the internet. She's just so freaking pretty. I wouldn't mind looking like her..or having her voice!

Happy Friday!
Happy Friday everyone! Thank goodness it is the weekend. And the bright side? I only have to work one double at work (today!).
Yesterday was a joyous day for my extended family. My cousin David and his wife Stephanie welcomed home their identical twin daughters, Adeline Quinn and Charlotte Baily, after 48 days in the NICU!! The girls were born two months premature on March 11th (due May 11th) and were in one of the best NICUs in the area. My nephew was in it for a few days after he was born. My brother's friend's wife works there and was the nurse a few times for the twinkies! It was an even more special day because the twins' older sister, Elliot, had not met her sisters (NICU doesnt allow siblings under 12 to visit). The pictures were PRICELESS. I cannot wait to go over and hold the babies. God really does work miracles.
After a rather uneventful shift at work (like as in that everyone was complaining because we were so bored haha), I did my tutoring job and went to the outlets with my boyfriend. He was looking for some shorts and bought one pair....what is it with men and shopping? Granted, he did just buy a brand new car but still. I got some good deals! I was looking for a floppy hat and found one on clearance in American Eagle. Then, in NY & CO, I got a khacki pencil skirt and goldish sandals...the sandals were 30% off and the skirt was marked down from $45 to $15! And in Old Navy, I got two pairs of sandals and a cover-up stuffed in a bag for 30% off. Win win!
As I mentioned above, my boyfriend John bought a new car. I am super ecstatic because I was not really fond of his Mustang. He has been saying for awhile that he wanted to go for a new car and has been looking for the past few weeks. He went to another dealership, that I had suggested, on Wednesday night and BOUGHT it! He bought a 2012 Ford Focus silver hatchback. Umm, I had no idea that they still made those, ha! It has more space than the Mustang and he picks it up Saturday. I made him promise me that I get to name the car and be the first passenger in it. :)
I am ashamed (not really) to admit it but I love the Jersey Shore. I know it's sad that America/people love watching shows like this but it's just entertainment. I honestly crack up and sometimes snort at the comments that come out of Snooki's mouth. Snooki & JWoww are having their own spin-off show and there's a link to it. It premieres on June 21st and I am so excited!!

It's Okay Thursday
Happy Thursday everyone! We're almost at the weekend. Time for another one of my favorite link ups with Neely @ A Complete Waste of Makeup and Amber @ Brunch with Amber!
IT'S OKAY...
...that I really don't want to go to work today. It's only for three hours but I don't wanna! Ha!
...some days I would rather just come home from school/tutoring and go to bed then hang out with anyone.
...that I suck at "Draw Something." This is why I never majored in art and took "Intro to acting" as my art credit in college.
...that I almost considered skipping going to the gym with my friend this morning before work just so I could sleep more. #Ilovemybed.
...to enjoy grocery shopping more than actually cooking. I find it therapeutic.
...to go to Victoria's Secret simply because you have a coupon that you cant let go to waste for free underwear.
...to be addicted to watching shows like Real Housewives of New Jersey (drama, anyone?!) and Dance Moms Miami (the Pittsburgh ones are SO much better!)
Time to go get ready for the gym.
What's okay with you today?

{What I'm Loving Wednesday!}
Happy Wednesday y'all! I hope the weather is somewhat enjoyable wherever you are. I know I will be excited when in two and a half weeks, I'll be on my way to the Bahamas basking in the sun. Yipee!!
Head on over to Jamie's blog to link up & show what you are loving this Wednesday.
Head on over to Jamie's blog to link up & show what you are loving this Wednesday.
I'm loving that today is my Aunt Betsy's birthday! She is probably my favorite aunt and we are pretty close. I blame her for my addiction to purses. :) Happy birthday Aunt Betsy!
I'm loving that my cousin's identical twin daughters, Adeline and Charlotte, are coming home tomorrow! They have been in the NICU since March 11 when they were born (2 months premature) and it's great. I can't wait til they allow me to hold the babies and of course, I will be taking a picture of it!
I'm loving my iPhone 4! Yes, I did not get the 4S because I don't need Siri and all that jazz. Plus, it was only $100 for it with a 2 year contract as opposed to $299 so I am happy with that. It's SO MUCH FASTER than my Blackberry. And I love the app instagram (follow me! kjak18). Now suggest some other apps, please! :)
I'm loving the new book series "50 Shades of Grey." If you have not heard about it, you MUST download it on your Kindle or buy the book. It's kind of a "hot" book and not one you want to be *caught* reading in public and I am looking forward to starting this on my cruise!
I'm loving how hot Zac Efron got. Seriously, what happened to him? I was kind of drooling over his hotness in "The Lucky One."
I'm loving that Carrie Underwood's new album "Blown Away" comes out next month. I am in desperate need of some new music and I always love her stuff!
I'm loving the shoes I found in Macy's today to match a mint green dress my mom bought me. I hate shoe shopping so this was a score on the first try. Plus, they were having a friends/family pass of 25% off and I had a $25 giftcard so win win!
I'm loving that my boyfriend got RID of his Mustang. So happy! He bought a 2012 Ford Focus Silver Hatchback. I now don't have to "roll" out of his car when getting out!
I'm loving I will be on vacation in 19 days! Can't wait to go on my first cruise!!
I'm loving that I used my Amex Rewards points to order a new memory card for my cruise!! I also ordered a battery for my brother's phone and in all, it cost me $4.76! SCORE! The memory card is like $50+ in Best Buy!
What are you loving?!

Spring Cleaning
I have made some progress in my spring cleaning today. I finally have switched some of my winter clothes to the bins and hung up the summer ones. I love spring & summer clothes more than winter! This is partly why I want to live in a place that is warmer than NY. I mean, why did parts of NY get snow in April?! (Not where I am, thankfully!) However, the task I was trying to achieve today was too daunting and impossible to finish before I go out to dinner & a movie with two girlfriends so I am going to achieve it Wednesday. My only plan on Wednesday is to go to the gym so I better be able to accomplish it.
I have to say, joining the gym was the best decision I made so far in 2012, aside from joining the world of iPhones. I do like going with my friend Amanda. Even if I don't run at a 6.6 speed on the treadmill like others and can only run for a little while before lowering the speed, at least I am working out. I felt like one hot, sweaty mess when I left today and loved it! So worth the $20 a month.
Today has been a marathon of TV shows that I have loved. First, Saved by the Bell. Anyone else want to marry Zack Morris when they were younger? No? I'm the only one. Seriously, I had the hots for him.
Then I was watching Boy Meets World. I totally FORGOT about this show. Thanks MTV2 for replaying it! Then FRIENDS. That will hands down always be my favorite show. What's not to love about it?
The Golden Girls. I was watching it and seriously, it cracks me up. I hope one day I can be as cool and witty as Sophia when I am old.

Raining on Sunday
That perfectly describes today. It was lightly drizzling as I went to work. And then it was just downpouring! After having such a beautiful warm day yesterday. The rain was actually a good thing because it made the shift go by fast and was relatively busy. I was suppose to work a double again today after working one Friday and one Saturday. But my friend Sarah said she'd host tonight since no one would give up a serving shift if I wanted to go home. As much as I should have stayed/wanted the $$, I had no desire to be there. And I am SO glad I went home. It felt nice to have an evening to myself.
3 weeks from tomorrow I leave for my cruise. HOLY CRAP!! So much to do in such little time! My next mission is the floppy hat and comfy shoes. And to order a bigger memory card because I am sure I am going to be taking a lot of pictures. :)
Tomorrow night, Shannon and I are going to have dinner and see "The Lucky One" together. OH MY WORD I am so excited! Everyone that has seen it on Facebook has loved it. All I can say is the ending better be better then the ending in "Dear John" with Channing Tatum. While I find him to be a stud muffin, the ending to that movie sucked a big one. Hopefully Olivia will be able to join us because I miss her!
I am so thrilled that Real Housewives of New Jersey came back tonight. Let's face it, that is my favorite series of the bunch. And a guilty pleasure. I do enjoy The Real Housewives of Orange County. The ones in Atlanta bore me, the Beverly Hills ones were of no interest and the NYC ones were a snoozefest! I have watched it from the beginning when Dina Manzo was on it and all. Now, the drama is outrageous and it is a show that I can't stop watching. And truth be told, Teresa is my favorite of them all. And I had the chance to meet her! :)
Not really having any plans this week aside from tomorrow night and getting a cavity filled tomorrow, I am looking forward to cleaning my closet out. I know, I know. I must sound like a broken record but who really enjoys switching winter clothes to fall clothes? This is why I need a GIGANTIC walk in closer where I can store it all without ever having to try stuff out of bins. Oy vey.
Considering I am fading fast and can't watch to get under the covers and read the new issue of Glamour I bought with Lauren Conrad on the cover, I'll leave you with a few of my favorite finds from Pinterest lately. These made me chuckle!

Friday Randoms
It's the weekend, y'all! I, of course, will be spending it at my job. I was there for a few hours Thursday and all day Friday. I'll be there all day tomorrow (or rather today, Sat) and Sunday. At least after Sunday I am not working again until Thursday! And you know what I could do after work tomorrow if I wasn't hanging with my boyfriend? Go meet Mike the Situation from the Jersey Shore. Although I'd rather meet Pauly D!
John made the reservation yesterday for the car to pick us up to take us to the port for the cruise. I honestly realized that on Monday, I will be leaving in three weeks. OH MY GOD! The day of the cruise, I may actually squeal in delight. I have so much to do in that time frame. While I was bored at work today, I decided I think I should get a floppy hat. I don't want my scalp to get burnt like it has in the past (I am Irish!). I think I am going to look in Forever 21 on Monday and see if they have this one. Would I look dorky? I hope not. Hats sometimes do not work on me which is why I am afraid of looking dorky.
How is Alex McCord, aka a Real Housewive of New York City,'s cat getting hit by a car newsworthy? Oh I am sorry it died but come on people.com! Get yo act together! I am not ashamed to admit that I check that sight every day to see if Jessica Simpson has popped yet. I mean, I feel like she has been pregnant for the last YEAR. Just look at her, the poor girl looks like she is ready to blow!

Seriously, how is she wearing those heels while being THAT pregnant?! I can't even wear those.
I am not really thrilled about having to go back to the dentist on Tuesday after being there last Tuesday. I have to get a cavity filled and I hate the dentist. I also hate anything dealing with needles so I am already having anxiety about the Novocaine. I do brush my teeth every day but considering I haven't had a cavity in like 9 years, it's okay. At least it will be done and over with.
I got my iPhone on Wednesday night and I am in love. Ha! My mom and I went to the Verizon store at the mall because we were going to split from the family plan we are on. I can get a discount through my job on my phone and she gets one from her's. Apparently though, the guy said when I took the upgrade on my mom's phone when my Blackberry's ball stopped working last summer, it renewed our contract until 2013. So next year, when my mom turns 65, she can pay $40 a month, I can split from her and keep EVERYTHING I was grandfathered in under (win!) and it'll be fine. I'm okay with that. Plus, I was super happy they had it in white! I already have Words with Friends, Draw Something, Scramble, Pinterest, Cut the Rope, Angry Birds, etc as apps. I added Instagram but not sure how that really works yet. Plus, I added the Chase & Amex mobile apps, ALL FOR FREE! :) I think the first paid app I will get is the one for Hot Schedules, the service my job uses to send us our schedules. Pretty cool. I am happy I only paid a $100 for the phone (it retails for $549 w/o a 2 year contract!!)
In other news, I wish Fox wouldn't "lock" their episodes of "Glee." Umm, where am I suppose to WATCH it if my DVR messes up during the recording?! Sigh. I love this show. Who doesn't love Sue Sylvester's quirks?
One of these days/nights, I would love to just be able to go to bed when I feel exhausted. I am going to be whining tomorrow because I can't go to bed early. Ugh. I dont know how I ever survived college on 4-5 hours of sleep and all-nighters. Go figure! I think I'll pass out now.

{WILW}
Happy Wednesday y'all! It is time for another one of my favorite link ups, "What I'm Loving Wednesday!" with Jamie. Head on over to her blog to link up! :) ''
I'm loving that this little handy gadget will be MINE in the matter of a few hours! I am so excited to FINALLY be upgrading to my iPhone and getting rid of my Blackberry. Part of me is sad because I like it but I can't take the sticky keys anymore.
I'm loving that I applied for my first two teaching jobs. Granted, they are subbing but hey, it's a step in the right direction!
I'm loving the state of Georgia as always. I love this pin I found on Pinterest the other day:
I'm loving that "The Lucky One" comes out this Friday! OH MY GOD I can't wait to see it! Why does Zac Efron look so hot in it?!
I'm loving that the Real Housewives of New Jersey returns THIS SUNDAY! I swear, this is my favorite series of them all (Orange County comes in a close second). Can't wait to see the drama unfold this season.
I'm loving that my job is bringing back the seasonal drink, the Strawberry Mojito, along with the strawberry cheesecake for the summer! We usually have to try the new items in pre-shift so we can describe it to the guests (even hosts so if guests have questions) and this is my FAVORITE drink!

The Travel List
I honestly love to travel. I find it relaxing, interesting. I love meeting new people in places, falling in love with culture and making memories to last. Still, to this day, four years later, hands down, I repeat, studying abroad was the BEST decision I ever made in my life. (So far!!) I got experiences that only a handful of my college friends had and let's face it, who wouldnt want to spend a semester of college frolicking around Europe?!
I have gotten into making my own bucket list of things I want to do/see in life before it's over. In blog hopping today, I discovered the travel list and let's see how many places on it (out of 100) I have been to (if I have been to it, it will be bolded & underlined):

Just another manic Monday....
Wish it were Sunday....cause that's my fun day...it's just another manic Monday.
Excuse the outburst of 80's music. I am rejoicing in the fact that I do not have to go to work until Thursday which is wonderful because yesterday felt like PURE TORTURE at work. It was just so slow/everyone wanted to sit outside on the patio because it was beautiful out. And to top it off, I think I got a relatively good night of sleep..until Eric woke me up at 730 to ask me if he could use my car to take Scott to the doctor because he has to take his to the mechanic. I went downstairs half asleep to get orange juice after he woke me up and let's just put this out there.....I am by no means a morning person, lol. I am what you'd like to call cranky.
The rest of my day involves going to a doctor's appointment and then getting some chicken and stuff to make dinner tonight. I also have to bake a cake because it is this lovely lady's birthday! Today is my mom's birthday and I won't reveal her age but I am happy that I do not have to work tonight and we can be together. Plus, I dont think she should have to cook on her birthday! :)
I officially applied to New York State for my Special Education certificate and now they have to review a bunch of things. It was $100 for the certificate! Such a rip off! I actually totaled the amount of money I spent on everything I had to do to get certified for teaching...$100 for that certificate, another $100 for my other two certificates, $100 for fingerprinting, $480 in certification tests, $40 for autism workshop, $25 for two other workshops, etc. It's such a money making scheme. Downside? There are no jobs in NY! Now its just a waiting game for them to send me a letter and be like "We need your transcripts" which I have. I just hope sooner or later I can get a job.
A pot of coffee...
I very may well just start drinking a pot of coffee. I remember I didn't start drinking it til I came home from Spain (the coffee pot we had there was such a HASSLE). I need all the energy I can get to get through my days. I am super happy to NOT be working a double today (I am tomorrow) so I can go to my friend Ashley's party. However, I am thrilled so not looking forward to next week. I am working three doubles in a row aka three days of people thinking this is a "I come in here and pick my own seat and argue with you over the company rules" restaurant. Wonderful. Moneywise it will be great. I did tell my boyfriend I will be coming home and going to bed every day so he can deal with that. Haha.
On Thursday, John and I spent the day in the city. I know most people love NYC and would give anything to only live 1 hour 21 train ride away from it (or like 45 minute drive w/o traffic) but I can handle it for about a day. I would NEVER want to live there....I am a suburbs girl...house with the white picket fence type. We started our day off at the Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. I went here for the first time about five years ago and then I went to the original one in London. Some of the wax figures are really realistic looking and others barely look like the people. We took some great pictures! (Just a few of the many!)
For lunch, we went to Jekyll & Hyde's. I had also been here once before but I think at night and let's face it, it was probably better at night. After having lunch, we walked arounded for awhile and went into the Toys R Us in Times Square and just hung around until my favorite event....seeing The Lion King on Broadway. Y'all, it was SPECTACULAR! We had the mezzaine seats but honestly, you still got an awesome view. I cried during the opening number "The Circle of Life." It is an awesome show and I can see why it was a sold out performance. I have always said that Beauty & The Beast is my favorite Disney movie but The Lion King may be surpassing it.
Friday after work, John & I met up with Shannon & Dan, Amanda & Zach and Olivia & Marc to see Titanic in 3D. Only we saw it in Imax3D. I'm not sure what I liked more, the fact that there were like 20 people in a theater for almost 500....or Olivia's commentary throughout the movie. It was hysterical. I haven't sat down and watched that movie probably since I saw it in theaters & then bought the 2 VHS tape pack back when it came out. And not going to lie, the entire time I was watching the ship sink I was thinking in the back of my mind "Please God don't happen or crash on my cruise in a month!" (Granted cruise ships have come a long way in 100 years and there's enough life jackets for everyone!) Considering I got home from the movie at about 2:45 and went to bed after 3, I am exhausted!
My mom's birthday is Monday and I am happy I am not working so I get to spend it with her. We're also renewing our phones/I'm getting my own contract andI can finally get my iPhone. Sadly, I know part of me will miss my Blackberry but I will NOT miss the sticky keys.
Also, speaking of iPhones, some a-hole stole my co-worker Christine's iPhone yesterday. Yep, stole it right from the host stand. She had it underneath charging and then took it off. When she went to go leave to take her break before coming back, it was gone (I came in at the time when she was starting to panic and look for it). We checked EVERYWHERE and I even went through the garbage in the bathroom (people take the soap dispenser's and chuck them in there sometimes...weird people). She only had the phone for four months barely and I felt so bad. She went to Verizon and the ESN was deactivated and was reported stolen so whoever took it can't use the phone (sucks for them now). So keep that in mind if your iPhone ever gets stolen! I know when I get mine I am activating the "Find my iPhone app" and everything if it gets lost/stolen. Plus, I am getting insurance on it too. I would feel "naked" in a sense w/o a phone!

{WILW}
Happy Wednesday y'all!
Head on over to Jamie's blog to read her beautiful post about her Mimi and link up & share what you're loving this week!
I'm loving that it is now only 33 days til I go on my cruise. HOLY COW!!!
I'm loving that my back brakes will stop squeaking after Toyota fixes it. I'm not loving that it is gonna cost me an arm & a leg for my car (I also need a new battery and stuff). Boo being an adult.
I'm loving that tomorrow I will get to spend the day in the city with the boy and see Lion King on Broadway. SOOOOO excited for that!!
I'm loving that Glee is back! Did anyone else see last night's episode?!
I'm loving that Law & Order SVU comes back tonight! They were on such a long hiatus! And not going to lie, I really miss Stabler on that show.
I'm loving that Adeline (one of my cousin's twin daughters) has progressed into a different bed in the NICU...a bed that gets her closer to leaving! :)
I'm loving that the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale is happening now and I know people getting some good deals. If you like Vera Bradley, this is like your dream sale to go to! It's like "Extreme Vera-ing." I hope to go one day...I mean look at this picture they tweeted.
I'm loving this Vera Bradley hipster I got last week to use on my cruise. It's so bright and cheery...I love it! The pattern is called Limes Up
