{Sunday Social - Childhood Edition}
Time for another round of Sunday Social with Ashley & Neely!
1. What do you miss most about being a kid? Having no responsibility! HELLO! You're so carefree as a child. Don't have to worry about paying bills and you can have a good time. Oh, and the "mandatory" naps when you were a wee one.
2. Did you have a nickname growing up? My mom always called me Maggie for some reason (and my SIL ended up naming her cat that which was kind of weird). My family called me Krissy for the longest time until I told them I hated that nickname. One of my soccer coaches called me "Christmas" (because it was close to my name) and because when the weather was really cold, my cheeks were red like bulbs on a Christmas tree. Odd.
3. What was your favorite thing to do at recess?: Build lunch box forts! When we were in elementary school, the kindergarten rooms and their own door in the back and we used to have to put our lunch boxes on the stoop while we were at recess. But a bunch of us would always make a fort. Ha ha! Also, I loved the monkey bars or playing red light/green light/ 1-2-3.
4. What did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a pediatrician for the longest time. I was convinced I could marry Doug Ross (ER, anyone?) and we could have a practice together. HAHA! My 6th grade guidance counselor told me that I was "too stupid" to be a doctor and I should chose something else. Well, thanks for the guidance!
5. What was your favorite toy?
I had many! My godmother gave me this white furry dog that had a pink collar and leash that walked (it was battery-operated). I thought it was awesome. I also loved my Barbies. And tamagotchis! Those things were so annoying when they beeped but so much fun.
6. What is the funniest thing you did as a kid that your parents still remind you about?
When I was in kindergarten, I was wearing a pretty dress one day and black shoes. My teacher called my mom because I apparently refused to go outside at recess. So my mom asked her if she asked me why I didn't want to go out. Apparently I didn't want to get my new shoes dirty!! High maintenance at it's finest from a young age, ha ha ha!!!

I had a gigapet that I could not for the life of me keep a live! I got so frustrated I threw mine away. And a lunch box fort seems fun!
