{Friday's Letters}
Link up with Ashley for Friday's letters!
Dear traffic: Please do not be a pain in the butt as my friends and I drive to Atlantic City in a few hours. You cause me to have such bad road rage (especially when someone is going 5 mph and 4 cars can fit in front of them) and I really just want to have a good weekend!
Dear liver: I am sorry for anything that happens this weekend. I promise I won't go too crazy with the drinks. :)
Dear boyfriend: I will miss you and will send you a few texts...however I am going to enjoy my weekend with the girls sans you! It's nice you love hearing from me as I do from you but I just need a weekend with my girls!
Dear movie gods: thank you for making "Magic Mike." I'll see that 8 times because of the drool worthy factor!
Dear body: For once in my life, can you wake me up and feel refreshed? I know I love my bed but I would love to wake up feeling refreshed.
Dear boss of mine: Thanks for giving me the 4th of July off! And four days in a row off next week! Monday night shift, Double saturday, and Sunday morning shift = one happy girl. I usually NEVER have the 4th of July off!
Dear Planet Fitness: I know you miss me as I miss you. I promise I'll be back there dying on the treadmill soon.
Dear brother #2 of mine: Your new dog Tucker is so cute I *may* try to steal him. Ha ha! And thanks for inviting me over whenever I want to your pool since ours is no more. :)
Dear Pinterest: Thanks for sucking me in for hours on end. I'd probably be a LOT more productive if you did not exist! And wouldnt have things like this saved on my computer:

{It's OKAAAAAY Thursday!}
Howdy y'all (I really think I believe I'm a Southern girl at heart haha!). Happy Thursday. Welcome back to another one of my favorite link ups "It's Okay Thursdays" with Neely @ A Complete Waste of Makeup and Amber @ Brunch with Amber.
It's OKAY....
...that I slept in til 10:30 instead of getting up for the gym. I was pooped.
...that I haven't been to the gym in a week. I need to get back on track!
...to be excited that I got my tutoring job back in the fall! Not only do I work with the same kid again but they are giving me a second kid to work with. MORE MONEY!
...to want to plan an all girls cruise for next year!
....to want to win the lottery for all the vacations I want to plan.
...that I have to write a list out for what to pack for this weekend. I feel like there is too much crap to bring for only two nights!
...to plan on telling the people at the meeting today that I have that I am in no way ready to start "buying" life insurance. I am only ready to do that when I have an actual job. I'm not going to do it to feel pressured.
...that I bought myself a new wristlet at the Coach outlet yesterday for AC this weekend. I work hard! I am more proud of myself for not walking out of there with any purses since I went there only for the wristlet!
...that I am willing to spend $50 on an Erin Condren planner than buy life insurance. #truestory
...that I forgot to make the appointment to get my dog groomed before she goes to the vet for her shots. Ooops I'll go do that now!
...that I cannot wait to see Magic Mike with my girls!

WILW
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Who can believe we're almost into JULY?! Seriously!
Time for one of my favorite link ups of the week. Head on over to Jamie's blog, This Kind of Love, to share what you're loving this week.
I'm loving that my girlfriends, Shannon, Olivia, Amanda, and I will be in Atlantic City this weekend! So ready for that trip (it's my first time there) and to party with my girls.
I'm loving that I am participating in a blog swap for flipflops. I am excited that this is my first time doing something like this in the blog world!
I'm loving the Hunger Games dance the girls did on Dance Moms. I thought it was one of their best dances (even if Peyton was in it). Makes me want to go finish the book.
I'm loving that there are so many good movies coming out soon! Magic Mike, The Dark Knight Rises and I can't wait to see Spiderman 3!
I'm loving these pins:

Summer Reading List
When I was younger, my public library did a summer reading program. The basis of it was to encourage reading among young kids! You would read the books, come to the library to report on them, get stickers/rewards. One summer, I won an award for reading 250 books. Nerd much? Yes, probably so!
Once I was "forced" to do summer reading for school every summer from 5th grade going into 6th grade on, I lost interest in reading. Unless I found a book that captivated me. Once I graduated college, my interest in reading has been renewed. And now that I own a kindle, I still like to read an actual book sometimes instead of the digital version.
So, what are the books I plan on reading this summer?
Currently reading:
Gymnastics has always been one of my favorite sports. And it is the ONLY sport I really watch during the Olympics. I am so excited for the gymnastics events in London's 2012 olympics. Wahoo. That being said, I came across this book in Barnes & Noble and it is really good. I am enjoying reading about Shawn's career and achieving her dreams. It's inspirational. I also am sad that she retired from gymnastics but it happens at one point or another.
On the list to be read this summer:
It dawned on me this is considered a "self-help" book but I am intrigued by it!
Dominique Moceanu is my favorite athlete next to Tara Lipinski. I had no idea she was writing a book so I am super excited to read it! I am debating if I want to get it on my kindle or from B&N. Is my summer going to be full of reading celebrity memoirs? Maybe so! Now if Tara Lipinski came out with one, I'm all aboard!
I also plan on finishing The Hunger Games Series, Jodi Picoult's "Lone Wolf." Another favorite author, Emily Giffin, has this book coming out in July and I am excited to read it! I still have to read "Love the One You're With" and "Baby Proof" but this one will hopefully be as good as "Heart of the Matter."
Both "Heaven is for Real" and Elle DeGeneres' book have been sitting in my room for awhile. I have heard good things about both.
I guess I better get back to reading! Lots to read this summer. :)
What are y'all reading this summer? Leave me suggestions of some of your favorite books!

Top 5 Tuesday: Celebrity Crushes!
Now y'all, this is my cup of tea! I saw Rachel's link up for Top 5 Tuesday was about celebrity crushes and I was NOT going to not post about this!
Introducing my number one, drool worthy contender....
Introducing my number one, drool worthy contender....
Channing Tatum!
Hello gorgeous! I thought he was adorable in Step Up (which I recently made the BF watch) and he was so hilarious in 21 Jump Street. I wouldnt mind if he arrested me. ;) Plus, if I woke up from a car accident/head injury to him telling me I was his wife, I would in no way object to that! He is so fine and I just think he has the cutest face ever. I cannot wait to see Magic Mike with my girls!
Ryan Gosling
Some people might not find him attractive but I have been lusting after him since "The Notebook." He is just hunkalicious. Seriously, I can't even remember what that movie was that he drove the mustang in (Drive, maybe) but I honestly just went to see it for him! Ha!
Justin Timberlake
This picture just makes him all the more sexy. Hello! He definitely brought "Sexy Back" and man, I just love him. His voice makes me swoon. I'd really love it if he came out with a new album soon! Plus, I really hope his marriage to Jessica Biel doesn't last (mainly because I want him! haha)
Jake Gyleenhaal
I think I first fell in love with him when I saw him in "The Good Girl" with Jennifer Aniston (that is one of my favorite movies!). I think he is just a great definition of sexy. Plus, I loved him in "Love & Other Drugs." His smile is so charming! I can't wait to see him in more movies.
Ryan Reynolds
YUM! I loved him in "The Proposal" with Sandra Bullock and honestly, I wouldn't mind being with him. Especially with that stomach!
Honorable Mentions:
George Clooney
I know he is old but I have always had a thing for him since his days as Dr.Ross on "ER"!
David Beckham
I love a man with an accent!
Brad Pitt
Again, I know he is old but I have always loved him. I dont love him with Angelina Jolie (I can't stand her!) but I still think he is a hunk for an old guy. :)

Life lately
Life lately has been just all over the place. Because isn't that how it is suppose to be? Ha ha!
I am only working two days this upcoming week (Monday night and Wednesday night) because Friday-Sunday I will be in Atlantic City with three of my girlfriends! We are so excited because this is a girls only trip and we can't wait for the card ride! Seriously, I need another getaway!
Last night was super dead at work. And by super dead, I mean I went home at 7:30. Really weird for a Saturday night but I think it had a lot to do with school getting out this past Friday and a lot of graduation parties happening. After work, I stopped over at Barnes & Noble and picked up these two books. I like to alternate between reading on my Kindle and an actual book. I am excited for both of these books. Once I finish these, I have SO many more to read (the other 2 books in the Hunger Games series, ALL the Harry Potter books, Jodi Picoult's Lonewolf, etc). Thank goodness I love to read while I'm at the beach.
The other day my boyfriend John decided to torture me by telling me he was getting me a present but not going to give it to me until Friday. That is torture. That is like waving a cookie in front of a toddler's face and going "nah nah nah nah you can't have this." He ended up going into the Vera Bradley store and bought me a beach towel plus a new bag. That was sweet of him!:)
My mom is currently in the basement cleaning it because the cable company is coming on Tuesday to re-wire the house. We have the TV in the family room and mine with the boxes but the signal is weak so when they required everyone to get boxes in February for EVERY tv, they didn't work. But, it's more of a difficult task because my mom is a pack rat and doesn't like to get rid of anything. God, I love her and she might call me one too because of my clothes in my closet but seriously, it's difficult for her to throw anything out. And I am the lucky one who will be home on Tuesday to witness this. Joy. But hey, once it's done, it's done! And maybe it will give my mom more motivation to clean out. I love her so much and try to help out as much as I can (without trying to make any comments) but she should be able to just enjoy her home. No need to be Martha Stewart but it'd be nice to just come into a clutter free home. I certainly hope I don't let myself do this when I own a home.
My brother's family got their new puppy yesterday! They got a mini golden-doodle and they named him Tucker Alex (my goddaughter felt he needed a middle name). He is absolutely adorable and I cannot wait to see this little guy:
And for once in my life, I am going to try and go to bed early and read a little bit before I do. Ciao!

{Sunday Social} - Week 3
I love this link up. It's fun to see what other people enjoy and find new blogs in the process. After all, we're being social y'all. So go on over to Neely's blog @ A Complete Waste of Makeup and Ashley's blog @ Ashley's Carnival Ride to link up for SUNDAY SOCIAL!
This week's questions:
~"Heaven is a Place on Earth" - Belinda Carlisle (This was my ringtone all of freshmen year)
~"Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen (I still get so excited by this every time it is on the radio!)
~"Don't Stop Believing" - Journey
~"Love Story" - Taylor Swift....this girl has got it going ON!
And people may judge me but I don't care. I love Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
2. What is your favorite singer/band?
Again, how can I choose?!
I love Taylor Swift. She is a true genuine performer. I have seen her perform twice in concert and she sings EVERY word. The look on her face when the audience gives her applause is priceless.
Carrie Underwood - I think I like her more than Kelly Clarkson as an AI winner. She got me into country music and I am so excited to see her perform in November!
Britney Spears - I will always love B-Spears. Hair or no hair. Lip sync or no lip sync.
3. What is your theme song/song that best describes your life?
~This is somewhat tough but I'd say either "Just Dance" by Lady Gaga or "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" by Whitney Houston. Both just make me wanna get up, dance, and enjoy life!
4. What songs put you in a good mood?
"Sparks Fly" by Taylor Swift, "Spice Up Your Life"- Spice Girls (I'm not sorry I admit this ha ha!), "Man I Feel Like a Woman" - Shania Twain
5. What is your favorite roadtrip music?
I honestly like a good old mix cd! My friends and I are driving to Atlantic City this Friday and we are going to make a bunch of mixed CDs! Even if they are really silly songs or from the 80s/90s, it is fun to just roll the window down, sing at the TOP of your lungs and have fun!
6. What song are you embarrassed to admit you love?
Haha. My boyfriend makes fun of my music taste alllllllllll the time. Let's see....some of these include Barbie Girl by Aqua (I made up a dance to this in college!), Never Gonna Give You Up - Rick Astley, and Living La Vida Loca - Ricky Martin.
1. What is your all-time favorite song?:
Are you seriously making me choose?! You might think I have the worst taste in music based upon my selections but these are a few of my all-time favorite jams:

Friday's Letters
Dear dog: I LOVE you dearly but please for the love of all that's holy, stop barging into my room at 530am and barking. I just want to sleep in. Thanks to your barking I was woken up twice today and I'm not happy.
Dear boyfriend: I really don't like that you tortured me for two days by telling me you are giving me a gift on Friday (today) and wouldn't tell me. I hate waiting....I am so impatient!
Dear air conditioning: Thank you for existing. You have made the past two days bearable!
Dear a-hole driving up my butt in traffic: The fact that I can't go anywhere because we are in bumper to bumper traffic because no one knows how to drive does not mean tailgate me. Nor does it mean by driving up my butt will you get there faster. And I swear to God, if you ALMOST clip my car, you need to go to a driving class because you clearly have no regard for other people's safety! (I cursed so much on my drive home yesterday).
Dear bedroom: Can you clean yourself and stay that way? I am SO tired of cleaning it and it getting messy again.
Dear Vera Bradley: I love your patterns and bags but can you stop raising the prices of them? The more you do that, the more I want to go buy Coach or Michael Kors!
Dear Atlantic City: I am so excited for next weekend. I am not even sure WHAT is going to hit us! Please be kind on our livers and souls ha ha
Dear bed: I love you so much. Thank you for being a comfortable spot to spend my days off in.
Dear brother #3 of mine: Now that the house is getting rewired for cable and your room will have TV next week (lord willing), stop complaining and put your air conditioner in the window so brother #4 doesn't have to suffer living with your anymore. (I swear brother #4 is a saint). And get your act together.
Dear headache: Please go away. I really dont like having to depend on Excedrin every day.

{It's OKAY Thursday....}
Thursdaaaaaaaaaaay! Time for another link up with Neely @ A Complete Waste of Makeup & Amber @ Brunch with Amber.
IT'S OKAY....
...that it is SO hot out I am going to stay in air conditioning today.
....to wish I was going to the beach today but will whine I am not (I'd melt in 100 degree weather!)
...to be watching Jersey Shore re-runs on MTV
....to be SUPER impatient about the "gift" my boyfriend says he has for me tomorrow.
...to want to take a nap and its only 11am
...to be excited to see Snooki & JWoww's show tonight on TV. #notsorry
...to be excited about ordering my Erin Condren life planner for 2013 (I'm a big dork)
....to wish I could figure out how to do a fun blog design without the little scissors/edit buttons on the side (Do you all see that?)
...to plan on applying to jobs out of New York State because I am frustrated to have not had an interview yet.
...to hope my friends and I run into a Jersey Shore cast member next week when we stalk their house. lol.
...that I do not want to take life insurance out on myself yet (as in I'll take it out when I have kids and an actual future!). The guy was TOTALLY freaking me out about it yesterday.
...to wish I didn't have the WORST prescription ever for my eyes (hello -8.00 in contacts and hockey puck lenses).
...to obsess over who is going to be Christian Grey in the 50 Shades movie.
Happy Thursday y'all! I hope you're surviving this heat wave on the East Coast. I'm off to the air conditioned mall!
{WILW- Happy Summer!}
Happy Wednesday everyone! And more importantly, happy summer! It is suppose to be really nice today and tomorrow so since I have NOTHING tomorrow (other than getting myself to the gym), I plan on going to the beach. :)
Link up with Jamie to show what you're loving this week!
I'm loving that one of my best friends Olivia got a real job this week! She just finished her Master's in Social Work and applied for a job. She was nervous about the interviews but I am so happy for her. She'll do great! Now maybe she can work her magic for Shannon & I.
I'm loving my Vera Bradley iPhone cover. It's in one of their new patterns, Paisley Meets Plaid, and it's pretty sturdy! And it retails for $35 but its the same as any over iPhone you might buy. Look :) This is it on ebay (not my auction)
I'm loving that I will be in Atlantic City next weekend!
I'm loving that Magic Mike with Channing Tatum comes out next week. I will be drooling during that movie. #notsorry:
I'm loving that my brother and his family pick up their dog this weekend! They are getting a mini golden doodle and tentatively, they named him Tucker! I will post pictures once he is with them. :)
I'm loving I get to have lunch with this sweet friend next week and catch up!
I'm loving these shoes that I got last week from Macy's. I normally HATE shoe shopping but my friends convinced me to get these to wear with a blue dress in AC.
What are you loving this week?! (BTW, this is super late in being posted because I got totally distracted haha)

Randomness
I feel like nothing "blog worthy" is happening lately. All I do is really errands, work, and apply for jobs. Oh, the life I lead! I am sure once I come back from AC (I go next weekend!) I will have some stories for y'all.
I am currently sitting at the Toyota dealership where my mom bought her car taking it in for its NYS inspection. One of the guys said to me "Weren't you just here?" HAHA Yes I was...last week...for mine! It is me...and about 5 senior citizens. Awesome. Just what I want.
I am actually excited to have tomorrow night off from work. The downside? I work tonight instead. Ha! The girl that was suppose to work tonight needed tonight off so we just flip flopped. At least I won't have to rush back tomorrow from the appointment with my friend's sister at Northwestern Mutual to get ready.
Speaking of which, last week my friend's sister asked me to meet with her because she is interning at Northwestern Mutual to become a financial planner. Her and her boss/advisor asked me all types of questions. Things I had never really thought about. Like saving for retirement, 401K, investments, etc. Honestly, I have not started saving for retirement at 25, nor do I have a 401K or any investments. That is probably a bad thing but honestly, the job I have now does not leave me enough to save nearly as much as I would like to while paying off my student loans (which is really the only debt I have). I just figured I would worry about that stuff when I got my real job. Am I the only one that is not really worried about this and I probably should be?
Jobs...how I would just love to have at least ONE interview already. While we did mock interviews last year in our student teaching seminar class and my professor said I interview well, I'd actually like to be called on one! I have applied for a few jobs and the problem is, the districts only do online applications and tell you not to email them back (because it comes from a generic school-based email). One district emailed me twice to say they had my resume/cover letter and I was hoping to hear from them. I am hoping now that school ends this week on Friday that more jobs will be posted and they will do it over the summer plus more interviews. You would think having a brother who is friends with a bunch of teachers (and is one himself) as well as his wife would help but in the area where we live, the teaching jobs are hard to come by. Please say a prayer I will find one soon. I am tempted to move OUT of New York state to find one.
And because I spend all my time on Pinterest here are a few of my favorite Pinterest finds:

Love Betty White!
Love LC's style!

I just laughed so hard when I saw that one!
